You can die instantly from a heart failure

Indeed, as perhaps that is what happened to someone in my family back home. My uncle suddenly died just yesterday; the 26th in the Philippines. We are guessing that his cause of death is a heart failure. He had a heart attack and died instantaneously. Some people die instantly if they are having a heart attack. Just like with what my husband was telling me that one of the good basketball players died instantly of a heart attack. He was shooting the ball in the air and fell to the ground already dead. Also the man that my husband considered his surrogate father died of a heart attack right in front of him. He said that the man died instantly and did not even know what hit him. At first, he had a minor heart attack and recovered for several minutes, and then he was asked if he was aware of what is happening to him, he simply said "no". He didn't feel a thing nor know he was having a heart attack at all. And when he had another heart attack shortly after-a massive one, he died. Some heart attacks are actually instant and painless if the person having it doesn't even know it nor feel it. If my uncle died of a heart attack, then I hope he had the same thing; that he died painlessly. He was at least not murdered and I am thankful he didn't go that way. All his pains and sufferings finally ended. May he rest in peace and may it be better on the other side of this human world if there is such. It saddens me to see people like him go as he is not even very old. We will surely miss him dearly, and it was nice to see him again even just in the pictures.
Life is ever so unpredictable, that is why we need to enjoy our time here as much as possible and while we can do so. "Live life each day as if it is your last" as the saying goes. So we should live it up if we can for tomorrow we may not be here. Here today gone tomorrow as people say it. Okay, see you next time.

No school today because of the snow storm

Blog Pictures acobox.com
We were going to send our daughter to school today with presents for her teacher and her teacher's aide but there is a snow storm. The roads are covered with thick snow-at least from where we are residing anyway. I am not even sure if we can go out later today. It's disappointing to have our gift-giving plans disrupted but oh, well, things happen. It's a good thing though that we can return the items we bought-as I think we can still find the receipts-and get our money back...LOL. I can use the money for our children. I am still not finish with buying presents for them. My husband and I have a lot of work to do in the following days in terms of getting our Christmas shopping and gift wrapping done. Our children also want to go see Santa at the nearby mall here. So I'll be busy finding Christmas outfits for them as well. Okay, this is all for now. Have fun with your holiday shopping everyone. Take care!

Great prices on supercharger

Every time we go out we often see young men using supercharger with their vehicles because we could hear the distinctive whines their vehicles make. A lot of people like to cruise around loudly. That seems to be the common thing today with young drivers racing, especially those that own pricey vehicles. They like to power up their engines and put others to shame. I mean they like to compete and show off how fast their vehicles can out run the others. It is impressive you know. Not too many people can afford it, but if you shop around you can actually find great prices. Well, I found a website with the following; buick supercharger, mercedes supercharger, pontiac supercharger, and Nissan Supercharger available for purchase online. You can get quality products at such website with great pricing and fantastic customer service to offer you. Now there you have it, get your vehicle running smoothly. Power up your engine and spare yourself the agony of having a slow running vehicle. By the way, it would make a nice present for someone who wishes to power up his engine since it's the gift-giving time.

My mestiza cousins finally visited home

What a surprise for me to hear my sister Nora uttering that our cousins in New Zealand finally visited home. We have two cousins residing in New Zealand. They are sisters and one of them is still very much single este married na pala eh just this year-she is my sister Nora's age. The other one is married with two adorable children. I hope we get to see them again even if only in the pictures. And if they come to visit my family back home, we would be able to see them live on webcam. I am so looking forward to see them. They are gorgeous, you know, as they inherited their father's Spanish look (the Spaniard's legacy in the Philippines) being fair-skinned with prominent noses. So they are fortunate to be viewed as beautiful physically. Some of my cousins are lucky to be both tall and beautiful. In my father's side of the family, I have cousins who are as tall as 5' 6". Anyway from how we all look at things differently, our opinions really differ as to how we define beauty. My definition of physical beauty may not be the same as how others define it. I have had numerous times when the people I think are beautiful totally look different to my family members. They have just the opposite of opinions which always brings me back to learn that "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". However, since western features have been capitalized as the highest standard of beauty, we tend to get carried away with thinking that beautiful is if the person looks more western. We are given the pre-defined beauty that became our standard for beauty in general. But then it all goes back to the eye of the beholder to solely tell if one is beautiful. Not you nor I can tell the other person who may differ from what we think is beautiful. Just like with what happens to me each time I show someone I think is beautiful or handsome, my family members don't always totally agree with me. It's disappointing if I have to say, that I can be thinking this guy is gorgeous, yet, to others he is just the opposite...LOL. Okay, back to my cousins. Well, I am wondering how they have changed especially when it's been years since we last saw one another. I heard that they look even more beautiful now. There is no doubt because more often than not, good looking people can only look better and some are lucky enough to grow old gracefully. I'll have to share my cousins' pictures here if I get any.

Weather health alerts are very helpful

There is nothing like having a sound good health because health is wealth. Unfortunately though, not all of us are lucky health wise. I am one of the many people suffering from aches and pains. I might still be young but I am already loaded. I mean I have a number of health problems. I find it difficult to function when I am not feeling so well. Sometimes I wake up with a bad headache. Now that makes me wonder what really causes it. Could it be that I have a migraine headache, or, that it is because of the changing weather? I learned that the changes in the weather actually have something to do with people getting sicker. Well, in case some of you could use some help. Here let me share the website that can fill you in more about that. It is MediClim® which serves as a warning system that takes into account a multitude of weather parameters known to affect health, such as humidity, barometric pressure and temperature. Such website provides helpful information especially with sending out weather health alerts to people who are most susceptible to flare ups from migraine, asthma, arthritis or heart disease. My sister in law would appreciate visiting the website because she has arthritis. The website even has a forum where people with those illnesses can discuss and share information about how they can help others. Also by signing up for the e-mail alerts they can prevent their health problems from getting worse when the weather changes. Not to mention the blog is resourceful as well.

Pacman beats the Golden Boy!!!

Manny Pacquiao & Oscar Dela Hoya
I am not fond of any sports that involves physical violence but I like to share a little about my fellow Filipino; Manny Pacquiao. This is after all unlike any other fights he fought. Well, this time he fought with the undefeated champion Oscar Dela Hoya and wow! He actually won it! A lot of people thought that Pacman would not be able to beat the Golden Boy but he did it...yahooh!!! However, there are always those who calculate everything. Just like with what I read that Manny had the advantage of being "younger" and so he could throw punches "faster" than his opponent. His strength and speed made it all possible for him to win. I mean it all factored in to him winning it, but I think you have to be born with the power to be the best though-to win so to speak. Also to counter those claims, we have to look at Oscar being that he is taller and bigger. To me they make a fair boxing match. Dela Hoya was even so confident about their upcoming fight that "there would be a knockout" he said, but no, he was wrong...LOL. Now such accomplishment really put Manny Pacquiao on the pedestal as being the greatest boxer of Asia or from the Asian continent. How nice and I am happy for him and his family. He made the Philippines proud.
Everyone can be good at what they do but only a few can be the greatest. Manny Pacquiao proved that you can be the greatest, which, of course, sets an example to all of us. It is the will, perseverance, and determination that can get you there. People that do amazing things are really inspiring. As for Oscar Dela Hoya, there is a lesson to be learned in his case. Indeed, and it's realizing your greatest achievement as one. And another as knowing how far you should go or climb the ladder of success that you set your limits not to put yourself in a situation where it is possible for you to fall, or, that you could fall and lose it all. So, Oscar Dela Hoya should have stayed being retired instead of bouncing back and only to lose anyway. That is what most fighters don't seem to learn that once you achieve the highest rank, you should stay there. Gamblers do the same, when they win big they still keep going; gambling until they end up losing it all. They have to learn the hard way. I hope Manny won't make that mistake. He should learn from his latest opponent. He is going to be put to shame if he ever loses to someone new. He reached his ultimate goal there by fighting with Oscar Dela Hoya saying he "would not feel wholesome as a boxing champion if he is not able to beat the Golden Boy." And now that he made that happen, that should be it; enough-I am hoping...LOL. That is because usually they just never learn. Anyway, this news is a little late. Sometimes I like to share a lot of things I find interesting, but then I wind up being too late with sharing them. I am way behind schedule…LOL, sorry folks!

P.S. "The World's Greatest" song by R. Kelly fits him so well...congrats to Manny!

Money saving discounts on audio books

I am not such a bookworm but I do take time to read whenever possible, especially when I find a book that is entertaining as well as educational to me. The kinds of books I enjoy reading are those with stories about real people; their biographies and memoirs, heritage and culture, and many more stories I find fascinating. Well, speaking of books. I actually found a website where you can find lots of money saving deals on audio books. Now that is good news for those of you out there who are interested. Imagine that if you become a member you are entitled to the promotion offers available just for you. You can also save money by getting regular discounts on book purchases. Not to mention cheaply being that the prices are quite reasonable. So we could all use the website because it is resourceful for all the books we need. There are many categories of book clubs to choose from and they are like the following; general interests, ethnic, faith and religion, kids and parents, to audio book clubs. Books do make great gifts, too, I would say since it is the holidays!

Gift cards are the most preferred holiday gifts

One of the best ways to avoid getting disappointed (that your gift may end up getting returned to the store or wasted being thrown in the trash) during this gift-giving time is to give your recipients the kinds of gifts that would not go to waste. Well, do you know what I am getting at? If you guessed that I am talking about gift cards, you are right! That way it spares both parties the disappointment that comes with giving a wrong or unwanted gift. Wouldn't you rather agree with me? I like that idea a lot. Who can possibly resist the convenience of being able to go shopping and getting the items they really want anyway.
Now for those of you who may be lost with what to give this holiday season, perhaps you should take a look at this Gift Card Mall™ to see what you can find in terms of finding the right gift card for your recipient. Most people simply prefer getting a gift card. I am one of the many that do so because I get to pick out the things I have in mind. By the way, you can also customize your gift card which makes it a lot nicer so you can apply your personal touch.
Okay, be sure to spare yourself the disappointment that you could only be wasting money buying something that someone may not need or want at all especially if you are going the cheap route due to the weak economy. I think these prepaid holiday gift cards are perfect to make the season merry and bright. All you need to do there is pick the one that suits your recipient and you are all set. There is no need for you to hassle with going shopping because you are done.

Our '08 Christmas tree is up

At last our Christmas tree is up. That is what I have been busy on for the last few days. Holidays sure can make people busy especially broke when they over spend; going beyond their means. As for us, we try to minimize our spending since we want to be prepared for any unexpected expenses. That is especially my husband; he doesn't want to owe anything. While I am a bit of a spender but I work hard. In other words; I work hard and play hard. Mainly just when it comes to shopping though-that is why I have a Shopping Blog...LOL. Anyway, let me share what our Christmas tree look like. It is simple but it is quite pretty and when the night comes, it is spectacular. Indeed the pictures couldn't compare as to how it looks when it is dark and have all its lights on flashing or twinkling. Our children get so excited seeing the tree as they love all the fancy decorations on it. In fact, our little one if not supervised would start harvesting the ornaments and literally re-arrange how it is decorated...LOL. Okay, this is all for now. I have a couple of snap-shots here of the night and day look of our Christmas tree.

Seeking justice for my beloved uncle

At long last; after 3 years, one of the 3 men that fled from the authorities for brutally murdering my uncle have been apprehended. Wow! What a good news that is for my family and me! Nobody can pass up the reward money, of course, because otherwise nobody would want to help. That is how things go; it takes money to get things done these days. Now there are 2 more men to go. I am hoping they will all get caught soon and be punished for the heinous crime they committed. No crime should go unpunished, not anywhere in the world. Anyway, I am just so glad that my effort to be able to help my uncle is paying off. He deserves justice.
