Sis. Rosalie's graduation...

My parents are so happy that my little sister Rosalie; who recently graduated from Elementary received an award. She received an award that really made them proud. I think she was in the top ten outstanding students in her class. So, no wonder it really made my mother excited and proud as can be. She told me how glad she was when she went to attend my sister's graduation and was able to come up on the stage to pin the ribbon-as we call it. My mother actually advised me to keep teaching our daughter Tiana, so she will receive an award, too. Well, I can imagine that it would make the parents happy if their children do receive awards for doing well in school. Ok until next time. Congrats little sistah! Muah! I hope you keep up your good work and continue your education.

Fiesta time...

Ahoy, it's fiesta time in our little village. Oh, don't I love to be there right now. It is so much fun you know. Anyway, every fiesta we all go shopping there and enjoy the perya-the carnaval I mean...LOL. We get to eat cotton candies and enjoy the kiddy rides as well as throw or toss coins and win some money. So, yes, we have a good time there. However, I am not sure that it is so exciting anymore because people have died right in the public there. Also since my uncle was also murdered so heinously, nobody wants to have fun so much anymore. It is no longer like it used to be. It's kinda lonely nowadways. Oh well, that is life I guess. Ok, I'll be off for now. Babu!

Fish from all the way home...

My family sent some fish to my sister and me here in the U.S. of A. So, wasn’t it nice of them? We get to taste our kind of fish again after all these years. I can have some of the fish I grew up eating...yum! They sent us some sweet treats (baye-baye) too, but oh...they went bad; spoiled before we could receive them. It's too bad that it took our neighbor so long to send our stuff to us. How disappointing as for me and for sure no more next time...LOL. The sweets would have been a tasty treat for us here as I miss those a lot. Perhaps I can make them here on my own. Why not, right? I'll just have to get off the computer long enough to make some...LOL. It will be a new experience for me to learn how to cook those anyway. Okay nighty- night!

Happy Birthday Bro....

It is my younger brother's birthday today. He is 20 years old. My goodness! Time surely flies doesn’t it? I can't believe that a little boy I saw when I left home is now a young man. If I were to see him in person this time around, I would hardly recognize him. He has grown so much; he is tall and good looking, of course...LOL. Anyway, both of my brothers are wonderful and I couldn't ask for better brothers than what I have. They both are the persons I am glad I am related to. They have the hearts of gold. By the way, let me take this opportunity to wish my brother a happy birthday. To you brother, I hope you read this post of mine. I wish you to always be in good health and kindred spirit. Please stay cool! I hope to see you all someday. With love and best regards, hugs and kisses to you on your birthday. …Sis. Ana.

Just a little about me...

Here let me share a little about me. I was born and raised in the Philippines. My parents are the descendants of Spanish, Chinese, and Malay. They are quite mixed, and so their children are too. I for one inherited my father’s Chinese features. My fellow Filipinos don’t always look at me as a Filipina simply because to them I appear Chinese. It’s interesting in a way since I have other Asian people come up to me speaking to me in their language…as if I’d understand…LOL! I find it fun sometimes though as I am fascinated by other languages-I’d like to learn some. Anyway, as for my siblings; I have six (6) of them, we are seven (7) altogether. My parents union is surely a fruitful one to bear so many children. Imagine we are more than half a dozen. I am the eldest child and since I am, I experienced the hardest times. Well, along with a few of my older siblings that followed so soon after I was born. We all went through both the toughest times and easiest times. It was so much fun growing up though having them all. I miss my childhood.
