Nadya Suleman is lucky

Indeed, lucky to be living in America and not anywhere else, especially like in China. In China families are only allowed to have 2 children; otherwise face the ever harsh consequences. So, she is quite lucky to be getting away with what she did in spite that she has no means to support all her 14 children financially. She just happened to be in a country where people don't have to starve to death because every citizen's welfare matters. That is what I like about America because no one is left out in the cold to die. I am glad that the elderly people have social security benefits because most of them really need it. I also like the fact that temporary benefits are available for people who are struggling to survive and those who lost their jobs due to the perilous economy. I am all for the good of humanity. Anyway, let me go back with talking about the octomom madness here. I am one of the many people who could not figure her out for wanting to have more children that she cannot support financially. What was she thinking? I think that is being self-absorbed. She was only thinking of her wants, etc. The fact that she wanted to have a big family, but goodness, not considering what can happen if she has too many, is absolutely wrong. Some people actually talked about taking some of her children away and put them up for adoption. It's a good thing that there are people kind enough to help her out. She is being rewarded for her insane decision. Wow! People are being rewarded for their bad behaviors. Nadya Suleman should do it again...LOL! She has two more children left to bring into this world with the help of IVF process. That is what God wants...to multiply, but it should be more to the point saying "only multiply if you can afford it". For goodness sake! There should be a limit to how many children you can have depending on your financial status. People should only be allowed to have a number of children that they can support financially. Everyone needs to be responsible. Octomom there perhaps thought that she would be famous if she had 8 babies and her wish was granted only a little more than she had had anticipated. Well, we all have to deal with the consequences of our actions don't we? That is what welfare and other free entitlement programs are doing to people now. I am not against helping others but if it is being abused that way, then it is not good. Social security benefits and other temporary assistants are fine because for one, Social Security benefits are earned unlike welfare and so on. I like the Social Security because I am able to put in for it and claim it later when I retire. I am not so good with saving money on my own because when I see money I have to spend it...[blush]...being that I am not much of a saver. So, the Social Security is a better way for me to do it. It is like an insurance policy, it is better that you have to pay monthly rather than trying to save the money on your own. Let others save it for you instead because then you can't spend it. That is when Individual Retirement Account (IRA) comes in.

A little about what holodomor is

So, what is it exactly? Well, a lot of people are still in a controversial debate about how it should be defined or which definition it falls under. As a matter of fact, Viktor Yuschenko is one of the Ukrainian politicians who have argued that famine may have been designed as an attack on Ukraine; so therefore, it should fall under the legal definition of genocide. Anyway, from how I understand it, I learned that it is about the many millions of Ukrainians, Russians, Kazakhs and other nationalities in the USSR that starved to death. It all happened when Joseph Stalin was in power. You see, he designed a policy called "collectivization of agriculture" that required peasantry. The Communist governments of the Republics of the Soviet Union caused millions of farmers to lose their lives by being starved to death and being thrown out of their homes and out in the cold to die. Starvation was their punishment for not being submissive. Indeed, with those who resisted Stalin's idea did not make it alive; they were even tortured in an effort to disclose hidden grains. Imagine that, so in the process Stalin's regime literally mass murdered between 7,000,000 to 10,000,000 innocent men, women and children to be able to support his ineffective policy and also to terminate the Ukrainian nationalism-which was more likely out of his paranoia, according to some people. My! What a brutal and selfish man he was. To many, the famine is not in any way a natural catastrophe but man-made considering it as being a crime against humanity and should never be tolerated, which is why people should be aware of what holodomor (formerly known as golodomor) is about. Let us educate ourselves on world history, so such catastrophic event may never happen again. Violence and doing what Joseph Stalin did and others alike cannot be tolerated.

The latest political dress code!

You've gotta have your suit jacket on in your office if you are a conservative republican and the president! That is apparently an issue now with the new president. That reminds me of my fellow Filipina who attacked me for not doing what others are doing. I can't be different; I have to adhere to the tradition. Sometimes it doesn't work though because we are all so different that we can't generalize. As for Mr. President Barack Obama, I see nothing wrong with him making himself comfortable in his office-it's his office after all. He is still decent, it is not like he doesn't have his shirt on, which by the way would entertain those who think he is charming, of course! Maybe it bothers him to have his jacket on considering that his job is stationary. Is it just him, or, is he actually among the many jacketless presidents before? I know I wouldn't feel so comfortable with it because it would make me feel like I have a heavy coat on. It gets uncomfortable to be fully dressed with a heavy suit on when you are working all day. I think people need to lighten up there and not make such a big deal over something like that. However, for others it is follow the leader; keeping the tradition going even if it means some people are uncomfortable with it. There are those who walk the extra mile to show their respect, honor the founders, etc. Well, with me I will only do so if I see it fit. And I tell you, it makes me glad I wasn't born in places where people keeps their traditions going even though they are utterly painful-actually senseless to some of us. I couldn't see myself doing something foolish and painful for the sake of keeping a tradition alive...ew! Not me anyway. I am different and couldn't take things as is and...as if I couldn't see and think for myself. It'll never happen. I am not much of a follower, I'll tell you that. It goes to show that my birth numerology is right that "I am not so good at taking orders because I am better at giving them"...LOL. Alright this is all for now. As for the photo below I am not sure if it is Barack Obama because it could have been edited using a Photoshop. But I thought it is interesting. Our new president is definitely daring enough to make his fashion statement in the Oval Office. The former president George W. Bush Jr. (Ahah! Look who else is talking!) made it a rule to keep your suit jacket on-I read, but it is all changed now. Take your new dress code from Barack! He knows what works; I mean really he looks fine to me.

Finally CHANGE has come!!!

This is it; the day that the American Dream finally came true. Let freedom ring! We are all free at last!!! I am proud to be an American and to be a part of this history. This is the day that Martin Luther King Jr. spoke about in his "I have a dream" speech. Indeed, this is not only an inauguration day but also a sort of like an independence day for the people of color. It means a lot to everybody not only here in America but throughout the world. The whole world was watching today and is proud of what has transpired here in the greatest nation on earth. Now it is official that the American dream came true. No one is left out because the RACIAL BARRIER has been BROKEN. It means FREEDOM and EQUALITY for all... Yahooh!!! No matter what others say about this latest presidency, it is undeniable that the history of racial prejudice played a big part. Well, for one let's look at how it makes all the people of color so happy and relieved. Many thought this DAY would never come. It is still very unreal for some of them to believe that Mr. Barack Obama being the new president is for real. They even had to go all the way to Washington D.C. to get the feel and glimpse that it is really happening. America like what it is today is how it should be that this "nation will rise up and live up the true meaning of its dream". America is the nation of all nations, at last! Wow, if only Martin Luther King Jr. were alive to see this day in which his dream has been fulfilled. It is what he risks it all for. Mr. President Barack H. Obama made that dream a reality. Congratulations to the new president and more power to him in making a change this country needs. Nothing is no longer impossible to achieve for everybody here in the United States of America. This is a great moment that everyone should appreciate. Oh, I am so happy to see almost everyone being so proud and happy to be an American. Hurray!!!

Bias media and banning gay marriage issues

I have been watching the Fox News Channel from time to time to see if it is indeed "Fair and Balanced". Well, from what I can understand it is quite slanted as it does not live up to its mantra. So, you are right peeps, the media is bias indeed. I try to watch different News Channels and so far I can conclude that the Fox News Channel often has people that are mostly for the conservative Republicans. I guess I share Rosie O'Donnell's opinion there that Fox News is slanted propaganda. Bill O'Reilly alone can prove that since (more often than not) could not let someone finish his/her sentence...LOL. I was just watching him today discussing about "Same Sex Marriages" and wow, he didn't even let the guy speak up in the closing argument. He was siding with the religious people as he had the last words.
Anyway, you can't really follow your heart with people being so technical and critical. However, I always believe that sometimes there are things that require you to think with your heart instead of your head alone. Just like with gay people, I can understand them and know how they must feel being treated like an outcast. They are what they are inside and out; they feel it, they live it, and will die what they were born with. So, for me they should be entitled to equal rights. People are being so unfair. Why can't they be themselves? It is really ridiculous that people are imposing their belief on others like that, because obviously the majority that voted for banning Gay Marriage are religious people. That is why both gay and religious people are protesting and who knows if there will be riots soon. As far as I am concerned; I really have nothing against gay people. I am the kind of person that lets people be themselves. For me, if what they are doing makes them happy then go for it as long as no one gets hurt. I have no problem with gay people getting married because it is their choices. They just want to be happy you know just like everyone else. It is only wrong according to the bible after all but since we don't live in the bible, I couldn't see why people have to live against their will. Now will others that don't share the same belief have to live under the rules of the bible? There are so many religions and even Gods but Christian is seemed to be the dominating one-that is from what I can see. That makes people feel like they are in Jonestown...LOL.

It's Election Day!!!

It's finally Election Day and you know we are all excited about who's going to win it. My husband is anxious because this is it, the most awaited day to find out who our new president will be. Oh, the anticipation...LOL. By the way, Barack Obama won in my dream; I mean he was leading with a score of 111 while John McCain scored 110-he came in second which means Barack Obama could very well come out a winner in this presidential election. According to my dream they came in so close as in neck to neck in the vote count tally-my dream was vivid enough for me to remember the details. Perhaps that is what's going to happen that John McCain won't be so far behind if indeed Barack Obama will win it. This is after all the one of a kind election in which some people vote for the candidate of their same skin-color. There is no doubt because there are still people that believe in racial superiority and so it is like "birds of a feather flock together". It kinda sad but that is what's happening, those kinds of people that think so are still around and it has been proven by a number of failed assassination attempts. What also triggered for things to get worse was also because of allegations without proof. People are so cruel and unfair; they should give someone the benefit of the doubt.
Personally, I don't mind Barack Obama to be the new president because he is not only a man of intellect but also a man of integrity as I observe him in his words and how he carries himself. He is calm and diplomatic in his ways which would help him with getting the job done smoothly. It takes a level headed person to settle things down and not by raging emotions. A lot of people think Barack Obama have what it takes to be a president for he is confident and quite charismatic. It's about time for CHANGE indeed and not more of THE SAME...yahooh!!! Anyway, let's see if my dream will come true. My dreams do foretell what the future holds and even tell me what happened in the past if there is something that I should know about. That is the beauty of having a psychic ability. I actually appreciate it because it can help me, only I already failed with my uncle. Now I vow to always treat my dreams significantly that I have to pay attention because they serve as premonitions. I can no longer ignore my dreams since a lot of very real things happened in the past because I didn't take them seriously. Alright, this is all for now. Peace to all!

Tonight is the night!

I am not talking about anything else but the presidential debate that is. Indeed, and you know I heard that John McCain is going to go through with character attacking Barack Obama tonight. Well, we will see about how far he is willing to go. Usually John McCain is a man of integrity but if he does something out of his character; a lot of people will lose respect for him. By the way, I read a lot of blogs online and noticed that not all women are going for Sarah Palin, just because John McCain chose her for a VP so to draw women voters-it is not working as well as anticipated I’m afraid. Most people I know are quite apprehensive about the fact that if something happens to John McCain she will be president and what is going to happen then? She is after all; a heartbeat away from it. That is why the American people are so in tune and concerned about what is going to happen to America if John McCain won the presidency, because his VP is not as ready as she think she is to be a vice president let alone a president of the most powerful nation on earth. There are celebrities (such as Matt Damon and Sharon Osbourne) and people in the media (like Jack Cafferty and Bill Maher) breaking their silence and say what they feel about Sarah Palin. They detest her to even be running as a VP, because why would someone like her be qualified to run a country when she has only been a Governor for 2 years (not to mention she has small children to worry about especially her little one who's got a down syndrome-the poor baby has to travel with mommy all over the place). What is she going to bring to the table other than being a woman? What most people think is that the main reason why she was chosen to be a VP in the first place is to draw in Hillary’s voters. However, it doesn't seem like it is helping! People said "Boo!" to her when she dropped the puck for a hockey game, a good thing that the musicians turned down the volume to not make it so obvious. Only perhaps she read what the sign that somebody was holding there saying "I can see the end of your political career from my house!"...LOL. I just grabbed the picture somewhere on the net-it's hotlinked.

The 1st heated presidential debate

First off, when Barrack Obama became the presumptive nominee for the Democratic presidential candidate people said that "it is the very first time to have a U.S. presidential candidate ever that is of African American descent"-though not exactly as he is half Caucasian which makes him biracial. So that is bringing something new to the table which will be interesting for sure. On the other hand, if Hillary was the one who won it; she would have been just as fine because the U.S. never had a woman presidential candidate running before either." Anyway, that is a little off topic and kinda late for me to talk about but I still want to include it here. I am getting involved in this politics since I have been hearing that it counts to vote and it counts to pay attention as to what is going to happen that can affect our lives. Moreover, I like politics because the debates are interesting to me.
By the way, I watched the 1st presidential debate, and people said that Barrack lost, as he didn't say a lot with presenting his ideas other than that he kept agreeing with John McCain. However, some say that he, in fact, did very well. When he agreed with John McCain people thought he couldn't come up with his own ideas and doing so put him in a situation where people would say that he doesn't know much. Now this election is definitely interesting in which two parties are arguing over who may not be able to handle the job being a commander of chief. That is tough I would imagine and the two parties have something for people to compromise. They can either vote for McCain who chose a VP that is said to be "inexperienced" or vote for Barrack Obama who's been criticized for also being inexperienced. Now the problem is; people are mostly afraid that if something happens to John McCain, it will all be a mess. Boy, that is scary, and so, the American people will definitely have to get a grip and make a tough decision this coming election about which party is more balanced to make it in the office. We'll see because only the voters can say that, unless one of these nights I have a dream about who won already. I had a dream about President Bush before that "he won" you know, that is why I am curious if I dream this year.

It is in God's plan according to Sarah Palin

I have been reading and hearing a lot of people complaining about the fact that Sarah Palin is mixing her political views with her religious views. She could do something according to what is God's plan rather than basing it on what she should base it from. Being as religious as she is; she will accept whatever happens as is because it is God's will-it is okay if to say everybody agrees with her. Her decisions could very well be influenced by her belief which is more hypothetical. It would be like fiction because for all we know it could be make believe. That is since we don't know whether there is God or there isn't. So far no one can prove or disprove it, as we can only guess for now. One thing for certain; we can't always go by faith when it comes to what is happening around us-the facts that speaks the truth. Anyway, the public is not too happy about hearing her say that the "War in Iraq is "God's Plan"." Now that is starting to make people cringe...LOL, because not everyone believes in God considering that there are those who believes in different things. Perhaps she is only fulfilling what she is suppose to do being a conservative Republican.
John McCain on the other hand is also making his own headlines, because from what I saw and heard on TV "John McCain criticized Barrack Obama for being more like a "Rock Star than a Presidential Candidate". However, in turn he seems to be doing the same thing showing up on TV shows and doing what he exactly accused Barrack of. Boy, talk about political chaos and exaggerated stories coming out. I read a lot of blogs online and noticed that not all women are going for Sarah Palin, just because John McCain chose Sarah Palin for a VP so to draw women voters-it is not working as well as anticipated. Most people I know are afraid that if something happens to John McCain she will be the President and what is going to happen then? If that is the case, I think John McCain only brought on more damage to his campaign than good. We will see though what will happen this November when it is time to vote. Right now I am only throwing in my 2 cents and yes, I do try to keep up with the latest news.

John McCain chose a woman for a vice president

Mc Cain chose a woman for a vice president and according to the article I read about Sarah Palin; she has "more experience catching fish than dealing with foreign policy". So let's see how she will do with being the the chosen vice president. Some people around our area were shocked about hearing Mc Cain's decision because they thought he would choose Mitt Romney. However, this is quite early to make judgment, because we can never under estimate a person. People should give her a chance to prove herself. I am interested about hearing her speak; I haven't watched the news yet and saw her making her acceptance speech. Okay, this is all for now.

Barrack Obama's assasination attempt

A few people already tried to assassinate Barrack Obama. It didn't take long, he is not even a president yet. That says a lot that some people can't accept him just because he is part "Black" as they say-he was fathered by an African descent man. So now his life is at stake because he chose to run for president. I find it sad that people can be so brutal because of the race issue, but I am thankful that the world is not as uncivilized as those in the old days anymore. People are behaving much more respectful of one another compare to what happened long time ago where if someone happens to not like you; you are dead. The people back in those days were hard to deal with, but now it is a little easier. Anyway, I am glad to be apart of this generation and able to see the world as it is. I hope Barrack Obama will be safe and wish him well for what he does trying to make a difference in this country we share now. As for such news source; I read it online and heard it from my husband, you may read his blog entry about it as well if you wish.

Michelle Obama spoke perfectly

We all gather-round and watched Michelle Obama speak last night. Well, I would say she handled it very well and she said everything just perfectly. Everybody liked it, and admire her for her courage to stand out there and speak like she did. She is indeed intelligent and strong. She's got it together. Now that the Democratic first lady is done speaking, we will be waiting for the republican first lady. That will be the next thing America is going to look forward to.
As for the candidates between Barrack and Hillary, I didn't have any trouble with either one of them to win as the democratic candidate. So if it was Hillary that won it, it would have been fine, too. See, both of them promised a new change, a woman and with Barrack he is bi-racial, so each of them would bring something new to the table. I mean something new anyway.

Bring the troops home he means

We are watching the news channel and listening to the speech and explanations of the politicians in charged. A man in the audience later shouted "Bring them home! Bring them home!" He must have a loved one currently stationed in the Middle East. Oh, that is sad, and we can all only hope that the troops will finally come home someday. My husband's son is so worried about his son joining the military now, he is so young and who knows what can happen to him. He better knows how to avoid those flying bullets; otherwise he won't be coming home. It is dangerous to be in the war zone, you only not have your life at risk but you also witness a lot of deaths. See, my husband had loved ones and friends that suffered from mental illness when they came home from the military being stationed in war torn countries. They witnessed lots of brutalities right beside and in front of them that they were not able to control themselves from being emotionally distraught and, of course, eventually they developed a mental problem like talking to themselves, yeah, seriously. They are never the same when they came back home. That is the problem with some families, because their sons or daughters are mentally ill, injured, or dead by the time they get home. I guess war can do that much damage to people mentally and with most cases; physically disabled if lucky enough not to be killed. Those that are okay, I guess we can say they are stronger mentally; being emotionally stable enough to be able to withstand or handle what they had to deal with and came out of it alive and well. It is sad that people constantly have to fight and kill each other over something. What a waste!

Hillary Clinton's April Fool's Day Joke

We were watching TV early this evening and my husband, I guess, did not realize that today is April fool’s Day. So when he heard Hillary challenging Barrack Obama to a bowling match, he said "there she is again, what is she doing?" Oh, that was funny...LOL. She got us that time...LOL. I didn't realize it either that it was April Fool's Day today, so it also kind of astonished me in a way and well, we were fooled there for a while...LOL, as we thought she was being silly. See, that is because she often gets caught with not so honest statements and due to her doing so; the media would reveal her by getting to the bottom of what she is talking about...LOL. People are saying that she exaggerates her stories just so she will get elected. So my husband thought that was another one of her tricks up her sleeve...LOL. But after all, it was just a joke she wanted to make for a big April fool’s Day. Who would think she was being serious but us...LOL, since we did not even notice it is April fool’s Day. However, I admire her for her courage to always take a stand and for fighting back every chance she gets...LOL. I saw her in heated debates, so she can fire back and give you more than you expect-"if the going gets tough, the tough gets going". I think she is brilliant and quite strong for a woman. She will let you have it if she feels the need...LOL. It's like she will do all the talking, yep, if they let her...LOL. Just get her going and you'll hear from her for sure. I am the same way, so I ought to know...LOL. Okay, this is all for now. Good night everyone! It's night time here anyway. Happy April Fools' Day!!! The joke you can see on the graphic below is funny but it is dirty and, of course, it hurts bad...ouch! I wouldn't like it myself. No crabs on me because I am the one that puts a crab on the fool...LOL, but nah...I'm just fooling yah...ahahah!

A baby survived from being put in the microwave

I was just reading terrible news about a 25 year old man in Texas microwaving his 2month old baby daughter. Oh, how horrible. I can't believe that someone can do such a thing to an innocent and defenseless baby; a girl. When he went to a trial he claimed that has had mental illness since he was 10 years old. Well, doing what he did is I would say out of rage and due to his uncontrollable temper. Having a mental illness doesn't always make you do something that you decide upon, especially act on, and just like what he did, literally putting his daughter inside a microwave for 5-10 sec. He also punched the baby I read and placed her in a safe and refrigerator where he stayed, at a hotel. The poor baby was severely burned with her hands all bone with no skin and muscle left, just tendons but luckily she survived. She had to undergo a number of surgeries, and will continue to undergo in the years to come. The story can be found at the USA Today. Anyway, I am just sharing a little about what I learned, that really disgust me when someone can hurt a fragile baby. There is really no excuse at all when hurting a baby. The father will now served his sentence for 25 years, and won't be eligible for parole until he served at least half of his sentence while his daughter will suffer for the rest of her life. The foster mother is really angry and said that, she also thinks the father doesn't deserve the 25 years sentence because it should be natural life. The baby's mother is now living in Kansas and will lose her rights to her baby.

John Fleming for congress

It's time to pick our candidates for congress, and from what I heard John Fleming for congress is one of the best that deserves to be in congress. He sounds like he has all his eggs in a row wanting to keep the country safe by Defeating Terrorism, make sure that everybody that comes to the U.S.A is legal and not illegal by Controlling Illegal Immigration. Everyone must abide by the rules, and why should others be exempted when others have worked hard to be able to come and live in the land where there is freedom and liberty. I am also for John Fleming with Lowering Taxes because it is killing most of us who can't always afford to pay high taxes and Protecting Right to Life, and Traditional Values which make America the great country that it is. So folks, doesn't Dr John Fleming sounds like the man to vote for congress? If you think so, you should learn more about him. He is what the country needs!

Barack Obama has some explaining to do

Barack Obama has some explaining to do because of of the fact that he kept going to church where his Pastor said some controversial things. Well, that will put him in a jam for a while; public scrutiny. People might have a different opinion of him now. I guess it will have something to do with him winning or backing down. Who knows what can happen after such issue that recently just came up. Boy, nobody can hide from the media for sure, and can't keep people from telling the truth. It seems that we see one politician to another doing something out of the norm. Imagine, those people getting caught for doing something that they are not supposed to do while in office. How embarrassing. It is awful especially when you have to lie on national television, then come back later, retract and tell people, yep, you did it...LOL. Anyway, enough of my short topic on politics. Barack Obama stepping out in the podium and tell people his side of the story. He is about to deliver his speech to put an end to the such controversial discussion going on right now. Oh, it is affecting him with running for president. Will people understand where he is coming from?
